Fan venting for the third straight day in the men’s restroom after the San Francisco 49ers’ 41-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, sparked more than a dozen calls to the police and prompted a police investigation into the issue, authorities said.
The 49ers lost the game 23-20 to the Titans after the fan was seen venting.
The fan was arrested and charged with unlawful conduct, a misdemeanor.
San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr said the fan had his hands in the air when he was arrested.
“We are still investigating the situation and the situation is being investigated,” Suhr told reporters Friday.
We have a team-wide policy that prohibits any fan from venting, but in this case, we feel the situation could have been handled a lot better. “
The situation with the 49ers fan was not as we anticipated.

I’m not going to say we were successful, but we are working to make sure it never happens again.”
